HISTORY IS IN THE MAKING!

The nation’s first regionally accredited, articulated direct-entry Master of Science degree in Midwifery is now available through Bastyr University’s Department of Midwifery.

Bastyr University and Seattle Midwifery School have been training natural health care providers and midwives for more than 30 years. Recently these two organizations merged and through their partnership, are now able to offer a midwifery graduate degree from a regionally accredited university!

What is an articulated degree?
Students may enter without previous midwifery or nursing experience and earn a combined Bachelor/Master of Science degree, depending on their previous education. The master’s degree is available to students who already hold bachelor degrees. The combined degree option is available to those who have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework. This new graduate degree offering reflects Bastyr University’s and Seattle Midwifery School’s diligence in crafting a high-quality graduate education while honoring a direct-entry pathway for midwifery students.

Join us as we move into the future of education in the childbirth professions!
