Prerequisites

Master of Science in Midwifery
(if you already have a Bacholor’s degree)
Combined Bachelor/ Master of Science in Midwifery
(if you are in the process of completing a Bacholor’s degree)

Applicants must have completed prerequisite courses within the past ten years. Bastyr University may make exceptions to the ten year requirement for applicants who have completed a college degree, have a strong academic history, or have work experience in a related field (e.g. health care, counseling, social work).

If you are still completing prerequisite courses at the time you apply to the midwifery program, you must include your plan for completing the prerequisites on the prerequisite page of the application and submit official verification when you enroll in these courses. You must submit proof of successful completion of all prerequisites (with either a transcript or scores from challenge exams) before classes start in September.
