Monday, June 30 - Orgasmic Birth film screening with director Debra Pascali-Bonaro at 7 pm at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle.  What would happen if women were taught to enjoy birth rather than endure it?  In answering that question, Orgasmic Birth poses the ultimate challenge to our cultural myths. The viewer becomes an intimate part of the birth stories of 11 women who said YES to this journey. The movie also includes commentary by Dr. Christiane Northrup, Ina May Gaskin, and other experts in the field. Registration

May 16-18 - California Association of Midwives Conference in Occidental California, titled "Circle of Life, Center of Light"  Information and registration

June 2-7 - Maternal Child Health Epidemiology training course in Chicago Illinois, sponsored by the US Centers for Disease Control.  The course is aimed primarily at those in state and local health departments who have significant responsibility for working with maternal and child health data. Faculty working with state MCH departments are also eligible.  Application deadline April 7. Information and registration
