Margaret Bergmann-Ness, MSW, CPD (DONA) is a birth and postpartum doula, birth and postpartum doula trainer, childbirth educator, perinatal social worker and a psychotherapist in private practice. Margaret is Lead Instructor for the Simkin School Postpartum Doula Training
Sarah Huntington, LM, MPH, IBCLC, CD (DONA) is a birth doula and birth doula trainer and a lactation consultant in private practice. Sarah is a graduate of the Midwifery Education Program at SMS and an experienced midwife. Sarah is Lead and Auxiliary Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course.
Carrie Kenner, CD (DONA) is a birth doula, birth doula trainer and childbirth, lactation, postpartum and parenting educator. Carrie works with families from preconception through postpartum and parenting. Carrie is Lead and Auxiliary Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course.
Sharon Muza, CD (DONA, PALS), LCCE, is a birth doula, doula trainer and Lamaze certified childbirth educator. Active on the board of several local birth organizations, Sharon teaches for a local hospital as well as privately. Sharon is Lead and Auxiliary Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course. .
Joni Parthemer MEd, CCE is an Internationally Certified Childbirth Educator. She currently serves as the National Education Director for the Bringing Baby Home Program. Joni is Auxiliary Instructor for the Simkin School Childbirth Educator Training.
Molly Pessl BSN, IBCLC is a registered nurse, childbirth educator and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She currently is the director of Evergreen Perinatal Education and lectures internationally. Melissa Shaffer CCE is a certified childbirth educator. She currently serves as a prenatal educator at Swedish Hospital Medical Center and the Seattle Indian Health Board. Melissa is Lead Instructor for the Simkin School Childbirth Educator Training.
Teri Shilling MS, CD (DONA), IBCLC, LCCE, FACCE is a birth doula, a birth doula trainer, childbirth educator, and lactation consultant. She is Director of Passion for Birth, and speaks internationally. Teri is Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course .
Penny Simkin PT, CCE, CD (DONA) is a physical therapist, childbirth educator, birth doula, birth doula trainer and DONA International Founder and Mentor. She is the author of many books and lectures internationally. Penny is Lead Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course and Lead Instructor for the Birth Doula Trainer Course.
Sandy Szalay, ARNP, CCE, CD (DONA), is a birth doula, birth doula trainer, childbirth educator and nurse practitioner. Sandy currently serves as Maternity Support Services Manager at Neighborcare Health. Sandy is Lead and Auxiliary Instructor for the Simkin School Labor Support Course
Ginna Wall MN, RN, IBCLC is a masters prepared nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Ginna founded the lactation program at the UW Medical Center and serves as its coordinator. She is also on the faculty of Evergreen Perinatal Education.
